👋 Hello everyone, My name is Ranjini, and I am from Kolkata, India. Kolkata is also famously known as the city of joy. India is a culturally rich and diverse country and the Bengali culture is one of the most loved and respected culture in India. So as this is a guided trip I will take my trip mates to those places which will help them to understand the true beauty of the Bengali culture. We will go to places like the Indian Museum, Eco Park, The Victoria Memorial, James Prinsep ghat, Kumortuli, Jorasanko Thakur bari (Poet Rabindranath Tagore's House) and many such places. In Kolkata, we will stay at a hotel named The EDEN. It is at a convenient location where hospitals, cafes, restaurants and most importantly local transportation are easily available. Here in this hotel the breakfast is complementary and services like parking, WiFi, 24 hours security are available. From Kolkata, we will go to a place called Mundira which is a small village in a place called Birbhum. Birbhum has its own historical heritage. In Mundira we will stay at a backpackers camp where we will get to hear Baul songs (a folk culture in Bengal) , Experience bonfire, take a walk through the jungle etc. 💰 Costs - Accommodation along with entry fees to the museums ( for locals) are included in the price for international visitors the price can vary. - Food and activities will be pay on the spot I am looking forward to having 4 to 6 TripMates in this trip and have memories of a lifetime! Victoria Memorial

Day 1
On the first day, we will visit the famous Victoria Memorial. This Memorial was created in the memorial of Queen Victoria the last empress of British India. There we can witness some amazing collections of both Indian and Western style of paintings. Moreover There are beautiful horse carriages which stand right outside the gate of the memorial. Taking a horse would enhance one's experience of visiting the memorial.

St. Paul's Cathedral

Day 1
St. Paul's Cathedral is a Church of North India cathedral of Anglican background in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, noted for its Gothic architecture and dedicated to Paul the Apostle. It is the seat of the Diocese of Calcutta. The cornerstone was laid in 1839; the building was completed in 1847.

Jorasanko Thakurbari

Day 1-2
Jorasanko Thakur Bari is the ancestral home of the world famous poet Rabindranath Tagore. If one wants to get to know Bengal, One should know about the contributions the Tagore family has made towards the art and culture of Bengal. There is a museum where one will get to know the members of the family. There is also a huge courtyard where one can click photographs, But inside the museum it is strictly prohibited.

Mundira Backpackers' Camp

Day 2-4
Mundira is a small village in a place called Birbhum. Birbhum has its own historical heritage. In Mundira we will stay at a backpackers camp where we will get to hear Baul songs (a folk culture in Bengal), Experience bonfire, take a walk through the jungle etc.

Indian Museum

Day 4-5
The Indian Museum in Central Kolkata, West Bengal, India, also referred to as the Imperial Museum at Calcutta in colonial-era texts, is the ninth-oldest museum in the world, the oldest and largest museum in India. Among all the galleries The most significant ones are The Bharhut gallery, Harappan civilization gallery and the Egypt gallery where a 5000 year old mummy has been kept.

Park Street

Day 5
Park Street has the best nightlife in Kolkata. Various Bars and restaurants stay open till 1 am. Even though it can be pricey, but it can be an experience of a lifetime. 1 stop after Park street comes two places called as Camac street and Rabindra Sadan. They too have amazing places to eat.

Eco Park

Day 5-6
Eco park is a large recreation area for activities such as boating & cycling, plus a playground, lake & gardens. Also, replicas of the seven wonders of the world can be seen there. If you haven't been to any of them, You might as well get an experience from these. There is a Double Decker bus which takes tourists around the eco park as well as small tourist spots around the eco park.

Cafe Ekante

Day 6
Café Ekante is a café in eco park which serves various kinds cuisines, especially Bengali cuisine. It is a beautiful café in a shikhara boat situated over a lake. A delicious meal of this café should not be missed.
