Manikaran

Manikaran is located in the Parvati Valley on river Parvati, northeast of Bhuntar in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an altitude of 1760 m and is located 4 km ahead of Kasol and about 45 km from Kullu and about 35 km from Bhuntar. It serves as a major pilgrim centre for Hindus and Sikhs. There are three hot springs where one can take a bath. The water in these springs contains sulphur which is capable of curing diseases. The water is hot enough to prepare food by directly placing the vessels and is served as langar.

Hadimba Devi Temple

Located amidst the snow-covered hills of Manali, the Hadimba Temple is a unique shrine dedicated to Hidimba Devi, who was the wife of Bhima and mother of Ghatothkach. Surrounded by gorgeous cedar forests, this beautiful shrine is built on a rock which is believed to be in the image of goddess Hidimba herself. Locally known as Dhungari Temple, the construction style of the Hidimba Devi temple is entirely different from that of any of the other temples, with its wooden doorways, walls, and cone-shaped roof. This temple is a fitting dedication to its presiding deity Hadimba.

Vashishtha Temple

Vashisht is a village located 3 km from Manali across the River Beas. This village is famous for its sulphurous hot water springs and sanctified by three main temples dedicated to Lord Vashisht, Lord Shiva and Lord Rama built just next to the springs. The water from this spring is believed to have great healing powers, which can cure many skin diseases, infections and pains. There are separate baths for both men and women. This place has a refreshing atmosphere that allows one to indulge in holly bath while seeking blessing from the presiding deity of the village.

Solang Valley

Solang Valley derives its name from combination of words Solang and Nallah. It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sport conditions.
