The Hamburger Verkehrs Verbund (HVV)<\/a> offers a good alternative to the typical harbor tour or a Hop On \u2013 Hop Off bus.<\/p>\n With ferry 62, you can travel from Landungsbr\u00fccken over the fish market, the docklands, and the museum harbor \u00d6velg\u00f6nne to the Elbe beach. With this route, you can plan your day perfectly. If you want to get from the Elbphilharmonie to Landungsbr\u00fccken also on the water, you can take the ferry 72.<\/p>\n In addition to the ferry, there is the HVV Bus 111, which takes you from HafenCity to Platz der Republik in Altona every 20 minutes. You won\u2019t miss any of Hamburg\u2019s typical sights, because the bus passes the Speicherstadt, the Elphie, the Michel, the Reeperbahn and the fish market.<\/p>\n The practical thing about both a ferry ride or a bus ride: you only have to pay once for a day ticket. Every weekend the fish market attracts around 70,000 visitors to its stalls and not only will you find a variety of fish you can buy here, but also fruit, vegetables, and even plants. Tickets for \u2018The Lion King\u2019 start at about 70\u20ac.<\/p>\n Hamburg also has a lot to offer at night. The harbor and the Speicherstadt are illuminated at night and look very different. A visit to the Reeperbahn is also exciting in the evening hours, but usually very crowded. If you don\u2019t feel like partying, St. Pauli also has a night market right on Spielbudenplatz.<\/p>\n Another tip from our colleague Emilie: The light show in Planten un Blomen in the summer. However, a visit to the park is worthwhile at any time of the year and day.<\/p>\n The old Elbe tunnel connects the Landungsbr\u00fccken with the port area in Steinwerder and is open for pedestrians and cyclists around the clock. The path through the tunnel is 426m long and as a destination, you can see the viewpoint in Steinwerder. From here you have a fantastic view of Hamburg and the harbor. However, the tunnel itself has a lot to offer with its old-fashioned lighting and wall decorations.
