This is one of the lessons we had to learn the hard way in this Australian travel guide. Because the hole in the ozone layer over Australia is so thin, the sun is much stronger. You should wear sunscreen whenever you go outside, even when it’s overcast. Sunscreen with SPF 50+ can be bought everywhere and is relatively cheap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take care, when Bush Walking <\/h5>\n\n\n\n

When you head out on a hike in Bush bush, there are a couple of things you should keep in mind before going. Let somebody know where you’re going and let them know when you plan on coming back. Stay away from dry river beds in the Bush or canyons. It might start raining out of nowhere, and water can rush down the riverbed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Know your animals<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Educate yourself on the different animals you might encounter in Australia<\/a> and how to act in case of bites or stings. Stay away from wild kangaroos and koalas. They can be dangerous and punch or bite you even though they look fluffy and cuddly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
