Hi everyone, this is Silvia🖐🏻 I'm from Italy, and since 2019 I've been living in Denmark. I would love to show you this amazing country and teach you all about Danish! During this trip, we will hygge like real Danes! We will stay in a summer house close to the beach in the north of Denmark. During the day we will work and afterward, we will relax, visit the most famous attractions in the north of Denmark, or practice winter swimming ❄️ WHAT CAN YOU SEE IN THE NORTH OF DENMARK: - Grenen: a unique natural phenomenon, where the two seas (Skagerak and Kattegat) meet and the waves collide with each other. - Cold Hawaii: the Danish surfers' paradise, just a tiny bit colder than Hawaii! - Rubjerg Knude lighthouse: right on the edge of the Rubjerg Knude sand dune stands the lighthouse. From the top of the lighthouse, you will find one of the most impressive views of the North Sea and Vendsyssel - The migrating dune of Råbjerg Mile: about 1km wide and 1km long. Each year the dune moves around 15 meters towards the Northeast, closer to Grenen, the top of Denmark. - The sand-buried church: in the dunes west of Skagen stands the tower of the old Sct. Laurentius Church. Sct. Laurentius was a magnificent church with impressive furnishings, of which now only the altar's two heavy candlesticks remain. - Skagen: a 700-year-old fishing village. - Aalborg: a vibrant cultural hotspot with a spectacular waterfront of iconic architectural buildings. ACCOMMODATION: We will stay in a typical Danish summerhouse close to the beach in the north of Denmark. Some of us might need to share a bedroom with others but we will all have our own bed. We will have a beautiful living room and kitchen where we can work and hygge together. WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE COST: - Car rental - Food: I will provide ingredients for all the meals and we will cook together - Accommodation in the summerhouse (Shared rooms) WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED: - Gas - Parking: sometimes we might be required to pay for parking I'm excited to chat with you once you've booked your trip! Aalborg

Tag 1-2

We will meet in Aalborg in the morning and visit the city together. Aalborg is an ancient city where Viking ships once sailed past the Limfjord. It offers 21st-century architecture and a quaint medieval city center. Afterwards, we will drive to our summer house and settle :)

Grenen

Tag 2-3

On the Sunday we will visit Skagen and Grenen. Skagen is the northenmost city in Denmark. We will get to see the typical yellow houses with their red-tiled roofs. If you like art it will be possible to visit the Skagen museum, which houses a collection of artwork by the Skagen Painters. The Skagen Painters was a group of artists who came to Skagen and painted landscapes and open-air sceneries heavily influenced by their environment. Afterwards, we will head to Grenen, the northernmost point of Denmark where the Skagerrak and Kattegat straits meet. For dinner we will drive back to our summerhouse

During the day we will work and afterwards we will relax in the house, visit the most famous attractions in the north of Denmark or, if we are brave enough, practice winter swimming❄️ We will have a car so we are free to move and visit what we prefer.
